Terms of Service

Last updated: May 4, 2026

By using Sonar, you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language. If you have questions, contact us at info@signaltrust.ca.

1. About Sonar

Sonar is a free AI-powered fraud detection tool developed by SignalTrust Technologies Inc., a federally incorporated Canadian company. Sonar helps users identify potential scam messages by analyzing text for known fraud patterns.

Sonar is currently in beta. This means it is an early-stage product that is actively being improved.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sonar, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

3. Use of the Service

You may use Sonar for lawful purposes only. Specifically, you agree not to:

4. Important Disclaimer

Sonar is a fraud detection aid, not a guarantee. While we work hard to detect scam messages accurately, no tool is perfect.

Always verify suspicious messages by contacting the sender directly through official, trusted channels. If you believe you have been a victim of fraud, contact your financial institution and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre immediately.

5. No Financial or Legal Advice

Nothing on Sonar constitutes financial, legal, or professional advice. SignalTrust Technologies is a technology company, not a law firm, financial institution, or government agency. Sonar's results are informational only.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Sonar website, including text, design, code, and branding, is the property of SignalTrust Technologies Inc. and is protected by Canadian and international copyright law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of Sonar without our written permission.

7. Privacy

Your use of Sonar is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. The key point: we do not store the messages you scan.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Canadian law, SignalTrust Technologies Inc. is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sonar, including any financial losses resulting from fraud that Sonar did not detect.

Sonar is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of Sonar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
